About the Keller Lake Improvement Association

KLIA is dedicated to protecting and enhancing Keller Lake’s water quality.

We work cooperatively with the MN DNR and professional lake treatment companies (like Lake Improvement Consulting, LLC) to treat the offshore portion of the lake. Individual property owners can also work with professional companies to treat portions of their private shorelines (with proper permits, of course).

The KLIA raises money to pay for the permits and professional treatment services for treating the shared / offshore portion of the lake. The permit for the offshore treatment also takes into account the treatments being used for the private shorelines.

We are officially incorporated in the state of Minnesota (effective 10/10/25)

We are recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) Public Charity (effective 12/3/25)

Donations to the Keller Lake Improvement Association are tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes. Donors do not receive any goods or services in exchange for their donation, so 100% of the donation is tax-deductible.
